Services
Comprehensive Evaluations
Comprehensive assessments play a vital role in guiding treatment. Eck Language Literacy Center offers evaluations for speech, language, reading/spelling, and phonological/phonemic awareness taking into account each child’s unique strengths and weaknesses to develop an individualized treatment plan.
Speech and Language Therapy
Speech and language therapy includes phonological processing, articulation, grammar/syntax, vocabulary, reading comprehension, narrative language, written expression, and pragmatic or social communication. All therapies are individualized and evidence based.
Early Intervention
Early intervention services for children 0-3 years are crucial to building a strong foundation of language skills. Early intervention is play based and individualized to address each child’s specific speech and language goals.
Structured Literacy (Orton- Gillingham)
Structured literacy is an evidence based, multi sensory approach to teaching children diagnosed with dyslexia to read and spell. It explicitly teaches the connections between letters and their sounds.
